We’re back at it again.
Our homeowner had an outdated, 21-year-old shower and it needed SERIOUS updating.
So, we drove out to Fernandina Beach to speak to the homeowner about what we could do to improve her old shower.
She had read all about us on Next Door so, when we arrived it was like meeting an old friend.
She mentioned that when she read about us on Next Door, it was evident that we truly cared about exceeding our homeowners’ expectations.
She was right in that regard!
One of the primary things we focus on, is bringing the type of EXPERIENCE that is often overlooked by other contractors.
Things like picking up the phone, staying tidy on the job site and providing the best possible quality finish product, are things that are habitual to us.
This shower started out like many of our other projects.
We start with demolition, where we do our best to maintain the cleanliness of the home. We do our best to keep your home as clean as possible. We’ve had many comments about how neat and clean we keep our work area and that feels great because we put a lot of effort into that.
We then start to figure out the new lay out of the shower, what size the shower will be, where the drain will be, setting up the fixtures and flattening walls to ensure a proper tile installation.
Believe it or not, the quality and look of the finished shower depends on these early stages of the project.
We collaborated VERY closely with our homeowner to make sure EVERYTHING was exactly where she wanted.
This is something that is very important when building a shower, because your new shower is a PERMANENT FINISH, so your input is VERY important to us.

We were so proud of how this shower turned out and we consider it some of our finest work. Every job we do, we attempt to become better at our trade.
This polished ceramic tile was acquired from The Tile Shop in Jacksonville, FL where our home owner spoke with our long term designer Jennifer Castleberry, who was EXTREMELY helpful in figuring out the final tile selections.
This part of the shower remodeling process can be the most difficult. CHOOSING WHAT YOU WANT! There are so many choices with tile, so many looks, so many finishes but our relationship with Jennifer really makes it EASY for our homeowners to nail down the final look.
Once all the tiles have been installed, grouted and siliconed, we call in our glass company, Pro Glass Solutions of Jacksonville, FL. to do their templating process.
A template is when the glass company sends a technician to measure the space, because every glass door is CUSTOM for that shower. The technician checks for plumb, square, and level…and puts in the order for custom glass panels that will arrive 2 weeks later.
The glass is the final step in finishing the project and when that is in, it really looks like a shower! It’s ready to enjoy!
The best thing about a new shower is the comfort. It’s a real luxury item that makes the homeowner feel fantastic about their decision to invest in this improvement.
